Algorithmic Rules:
(Create Component)
1. Start with to circular rings cut from paper of equal size.
2. Take rubber band, cut it, then attach each end to opposite ends on one ring.
3. Repeat step 2 for second rubber band and circular ring.
4. Than tape the two rings on both ends perpendicular to the direction of the rubberbands.
5. Then take black straw and place it between the two rubberbands stertching it in opposite directions.

6. Repeat steps 1-6 to create new Component.
7. Attach large clear straw where the black straw and rubberband meets to connect the two Components.
8. Bisect clear straw with a Compenent smaller then previous Component.
9. Attach large clear straw and add two additional components larger then previous component.
10. Repeat steps 1-9
Project 3a
Algorithmic Rules:
1 : Draw a circle of “x” diameter
2 : Draw a line from the centroid of your
circle to any point along the circle to
fi nd your true tangent point.
3 : Draw an arc at your true tangent point
with a diameter of 2(x) = y
4 : Draw a line from the centroid of “x”
though the centroid of 2(x) of length 2(y)
5 : At end of line draw a circle using the end
point as your centroid that is 1/2 (x)
6 : Using endpoints of “y” as your centroid draw
new circles that are of diameter 2(x)
7 : For all new circles repeat steps 2 – 6
